The majority of my artificial plant designs have multiple uses. Many of the artificial plant designs work well in either a Reptile Terrarium Habitat or as a Home Decor artificial plant.

The Big Box store prices for most artificial plants are often over priced. Once purchased, you are stuck with the plant and container style (the pot it was glued into), forever. In some cases I guess a quick shot of spray paint might do depending on the materials originally used.

Styles change so switching their pot out isn’t always an option.

My Artificial Plant Designs are all attached to a low profile weighted base. Most plant bases are just a few inches in width and can easily fit into a variety of containers or pots. Some size limitations may apply by design. See the designs product description for further details.

To change out a container is now, real easy and doable! Simply place the design into the new, updated style container and cover it with your substrate.

Artificial Aquarium Plant – Reptile Terrarium Plant

This unique, hand designed handcrafted, Artificial Japanese Grass Plant brings a realistic looking artificial plant to your Aquarium, Reptile Habitat Enclosure or Snake Cage Habitat.

Sometimes, all you want is just one simple plant and this Artificial Japanese Grass is a great candidate. You can also purchase a few and spread them throughout the tank for a minimal, uniformed look.

This design is 4 inches high and 4 inches wide, on a weighted base using aquarium safe gravel. The low profile black plastic base is also food safe. Grass strands are semi soft therefore no fin tares to worry about. Plant is ideal for a Freshwater Aquarium, Turtle Tank, Reptile Habitat or as a Snake Cage Plant.

The black plastic base contains river rock to provide weight and stability to the designs. Base contains about 15+ small sized river rocks, each one individually hand picked and positioned. The base construction is secure and there aren’t any sharp rock edges.

Slight color variances in the plant are possible by lighting type. Plant should not be placed directly under a heat lamp and or near heat source.

the mechanics:

I use non toxic adhesive (as stated by the original manufacture) on all my designs.

For the aquarium plant designs: Leaf styles/stem samples are always pre “dip tested” in fresh bottled water (that’s 80 degrees) then soaked for 7 days, to check for possible color bleeding or fading and stability.

For the reptile terrarium plant designs & succulents: Unless otherwise stated, within each products description, the reptile terrarium plants & succulent designs can not be submerged in water. Risk of color’s (paint or dyes) bleeding and or fading possible when submerged in water. On very rare occasions, the original manufacture of the plant materials may have experienced dye lot issues during production that I am not aware of.

I buy from a variety of suppliers both locally and online. Since supply and demand are always changing, when one is out of stock I will pursue other suppliers. Unfortunately, there are times when I can only get a particular plant stem or bush from one supplier forcing me to wait. Lastly, since each design is done by hand, no one design is exactly like another. For example, if you ordered 6 pieces of one particular style #, not all the leaves would point in exactly the same direction. The overall quantity of the product duplication would be the same though.
